Cell Phone Etiquette , Mobile Phone Manners, Mobile phone Etiquette

Cell-phone etiquette is really just common courtesy.
Most people today have a Mobile phone.
In fact, many people can't imagine how they ever got along without a portable phone.
However, many people also complain about cell phone users.
People complain about other people loudly discussing personal matters in public places.
They complain when cell phones ring in movie theaters and concert halls.

They complain about people driving too slow,
and not paying attention to where they are going because they are talking on a cell phone.
And they complain about people walking around
talking to people who aren't there.

Whenever a new communications technology becomes popular,
it changes the way society is organized.
Society has to invent rules for the polite way to use the new devices.
Our social etiquette, our rules of politeness for cell phones, is still evolving.

Cell-phone etiquette apply to most public places.
Always try to keep your phone ringer as low as possible or put your mobile phone on vibrate,
so it does not distract the people around you.

A good time to leave your phone at home, or at least in the car,
would be at a funeral, wedding or some event along those lines.

Basic Cell phone etiquette rules include :

Switching it Off : Know when to turn it off or vibrate it.
eg meetings, movies, worship, seminars, etc .

Vibrate mode when in places where you can take a call,
but don't want to disturb others.

Be Brief : When you get a call and you're with friends, keep the call short.

Permission : Often, it is correct etiquette to inform others at the beginning
of the meeting that you are expecting an important call and get their permission.

Be Polite : Don't scream : speak in a lower-than-normal voice,
you will be heard by the caller, and not others in the room

Don't Distract : Avoid talking where you may be distracting to others.

Driving : It is not only very dangerous, but also unlawful in most countries ( even India )
to drive & talk on your cell Phone

A video showing off the device's potential features shows off close to a dozen functions, including an alarm clock, PDA, GPS, phone, push email receiver, digital wallet and, of course, jewelry.

Plus, its simple programmable body mechanism can change forms for different situations.

sony ericsson W61Oi

sony ericsson W61Oi The W610i is another candy-bar-style mobile phone in the Walkman series from Sony Ericsson. The W610i is available in two colour schemes: fancy Plush Orange (black and orange) and the more traditional Satin Black (black and white). Our review sample was the plush orange model and we immediately fell in love with the stylish design. It has a black front with the small shaped silver buttons, an orange back and rounded edges -- a true eye catcher.

The W610i measures 102mm by 46mm by 14mm and weighs 85 grams, almost identical dimensions to its predecessor, the W660i. The display is a 176 x 220-pixel TFT screen with 262K colours, and can easily be read in sunlight.

Sony Ericsson has gotten rid of the joystick for navigating through the main functions. Instead, the W610i employs a stylish silver navigation key. To its left and right are two similarly designed semi-circles for shortcuts. Four buttons above the numerical keypad allow you to program your own shortcuts for common functions such as contacts, alarm clock, inbox and calendar. The left circle activates the Walkman music player and the right circle brings you to the Activity Menu, which gives you direct access to missed calls, new messages, appointments, running applications and the Web browser. Down the side of the phone are shortcuts for playlists and to activate the camera.

Unfortunately the biggest drawback of the W610i is its numerical keys, which are very tiny dash-like silver buttons. Granted, they look good, but that's about it. The buttons are too close to each other and make typing text messages quickly quite difficult -- at least if you have adult-sized thumbs. Somehow you get used to using the keypad with the side of your thumbs, but we still had to use the delete button often.

Performance The sound quality and the MegaBass feature lived up to the high standard we expected from Sony. The ear plugs on the headphones manage to block out ambient noise and contain the sound, meaning you won't force fellow passengers on the train to listen to your music.

The W610i's battery life is excellent.

nokia N 82 - Imaging King

Nokia N82
The
Nokia N82 specs include HSDPA with video calls and quad-band GSM support. The 100MB of integrated memory is complemented by the microSD memory slot. The 2.4" 16M color QVGA TFT display is not as large as the one of Nokia N95 however we feel that the N82 will be a strong contender to the N95 flagship. The Nokia N82 is pretty much identical in hardware to the N95. It has 5 megapixel autofocus camera with Carl Zeiss optics, it can capture 30fps MPEG4 videos at VGA resolution, and has a TV-out port to watch those on your TV set. You also have A-GPS that works with Nokia Maps. Compatibility with third-party software is not confirmed yet. The N82 however flaunts a xenon flash which is a first for Nokia but a really popular feature among users and again, there's the screen auto-rotation.Nokia N82 subsidies with a 2GB memory card included, which seems like a rather reasonable price tag for all that massive functionality.Price-around Rs.25000-32000.

Take better pictures with your camera phone

Although mobile-phone pictures can't match the quality of those taken by real digital cameras, often your phone's camera is the only one handy for important photo opportunities. Here are a few simple techniques for improving image quality.

Keep your subject close: Mobile-phone camera lenses can capture details in a wide area but not a deep one. If your subject is too far away, it will appear small and indistinct. It's best if you keep your subject within one metre of the camera.

Avoid backlighting: Before snapping a picture, think about where your light source is coming from. When the light source is behind your subject, the subject will often appear too dark, almost like a silhouette. Whenever possible, stand with the light behind you, not behind your subject.

Avoid low light: Camera phones have difficulty capturing details in low-light environments. Taking pictures in bright environments provides a faster shutter speed and more depth of field. If you must take photos in low light, hold the camera as still as possible; the camera will compensate for the low light by slowing the shutter speed, so if you move the phone while you shoot, the image may come out blurry.

Get the most out of your mobile phone battery

Get the most out of your mobile phone battery
You can't run from the beep of impending doom. Anyone who's used a mobile phone for any length of time has experienced the low-battery warning. All too often, you hear that sound in the middle of a conversation. Prevention is the best medicine, so make sure you charge your phone every night and before you hit the road. But there's also an emergency cure or two.

Carry an extra battery: If you spend a lot of time out and about during business trips, you may not have a way to recharge your phone during the day. It's also a good idea to keep your extra battery in a protective case (even a plastic sandwich bag) so that there's no risk of the exposed connectors shorting out on coins or other metal objects.
Limit your camera and video use: Your handset's camera or videocam features may be fun and perhaps even useful, but they're also a heavy drain on your battery.

Buy a battery booster: Sometimes there's just no way around getting caught with a dying battery, but you do have one emergency option: a battery booster. Think of it as a spare tire for your phone. These products plug into the bottom of your phone and provide you with about an hour of talk time (or 60 hours of standby time). Motorola's Portable Power, for instance, works with most mini-USB-compatible phones.

RAZR2 V8 Luxury edition

Motorola debuts RAZR2 V8 Luxury edition
The Motorola RAZR2 sports a new outfit for this holiday season, with a limited series of handsets coming with a gold-plated body and soft snake-skin-like back. The new bling-bling style would most definitely magnetize the latest fashion.

The Motorola RAZR2 V8 Luxury Edition has the same functionality as the original Moto RAZR2 V8,but just as a spoiler, we would mention the slim 12.05 mm body and the main 2.2" QVGA TFT display, as well as the external 2" QVGA TFT display with touch sensitive keys. A 2 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth and up to 2GB of integrated memory complete the set of features. Unfortunately, there is no 3G or HSDPA support, nor memory card slot.
The device has some stunning accessories though, such as the Motorola H680 Bluetooth headset with 18 carat gold-plated accents and a matching patent leather carrying case.
The Motorola RAZR2 V8 Luxury Edition is expected to start shipping just before the holiday shopping, but there is no pricing information yet.

Motorola U9

Motorola U9-music-oriented

MOTO U9 will formally belong to neither the ROKR nor the PEBL series.
The stylish clamshell measures only 90mm x 48.6mm x 16.4mm with a volume of 57.8 cc, and weighs the mere 87.5 g. It has an internal 2" QVGA 262k display and an external 1.45" 65K-color OLED one with a resolution of 128 x 160. The latter does look borderless, as the manufacturer claims, and touch sensitive keys appear at its bottom when the music player is activated. It goes without saying that it supports Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP profile for listening to music on a stereo bluetooth headset, and a USB 2.0 port for fast data transfers. The camera of MOTO U9 is a 2 megapixel one, sporting video recording. The internal memory of the quad-band device is 25MB but that can be expanded through the microSD card slot, which supports cards with capacity of up to 4GB. Another added gain of the new MOTO is the CrystalTalk technology, which Motorola claims should ensure better talk clarity even in noisy environment. Judging by the official photos, the unique feature of the PEBL U6 - the dual-hinge mechanism used for opening and closing has been abandoned, and is now replaced by a more traditional solution.

Unlock or Hack memory card

Some times it happens that you forgot the password of your MMC card and you have lots of your important data in your phone.

So there are two types of methods for recovering the password of your memory card with the help of nokia phone.

For Nokia s60 and s40 1st and 2nd edition phones.
1. First Install FExplorer in your phone memory.
2. Got to drive C: , you will find a file called mmcstore
3. Send it to your pc directly and open it in notepad or rename the file.
4. At the end of the file you will find your password.

For Nokia S60 3rd Phones, Nokia N-Series and Nokia E-Series
There is almost no way yet known to hack the memory card password in case of these types of phone but there is a way to do it some of the s60 3rd edition phones and almost all the E-series phones.
The remote lock option in E-Series phone allws you to unlock your phone by sending a sms.
